Thoughts are Energy, not Facts
While on this journey of alchemical growth and knowledge, one of the first steps is in realizing that you are not your thoughts. You are the observer of your thoughts. If this sounds a bit funny to you, then I’d recommend an incredible read: The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer. But the fact remains, you are not your thoughts. You are more than your thoughts, and you are more than your story or your self descriptors like name, place of birth, and job description. You can discover more on this truth in The Awakened Way by Susan Giesemann.
The biggest thing that I’ve learned recently, and you might be getting tired of hearing it, is that we are all mirrors for one another. As creators, we project our subconscious beliefs out into the world, and people are there to reflect back information disguised as experiences so that we can challenge these beliefs and grow in them. Not all beliefs are negative, nor need changing, but the harmful or limiting ones do. Spirit helps draw in the people we need the most at certain times in our lives to help us work through karma or blocked energy that prevents us from reaching our fullest potential.
Since we are creators, this means that we are constantly projecting our personal depiction of reality as a field of information. This field is what draws in experiences as we cocreate with the universe. This field can also be experienced by others as you come into vicinity with other peoples’ fields. Sometimes you’ll meet others that you don’t “vibe” with and that just means that your energies don’t align. Those thoughts, beliefs, fears and triggers are all bits of energy that you project outwardly. To most people this information goes completely unnoticed, but to some they can feel it a mile away.
When I first met my wife, it was one of the first times I learned about this. She has an incredible ability to read people, and she is very empathic and well versed in reading people’s body language. We would walk away from an encounter with someone, and she would tell me all kinds of information about them that seemed impossible to know. It takes a few interactions to get an accurate depiction of someone fully, since the initial is more of a baseline, but she still surprises me. She can tell what someone is feeling, if they’re on drugs, and even pick up on their intention.
The information she’s acutely attuned to is broadcasting from those people’s energetic fields. This isn’t something we can hide, but since most people are unaware, they go about their days without batting an eye. This field is also what mediums, psychics and healers pick up on when they’re trying to give you information or help you through a situation. The point I’m trying to make is that this energy exists all the time, and it’s coming from not just our own energy but also from others’.
One of the best breakdowns I’ve heard when it comes to perceiving thought is from Bashar. The higher-self is the conceiver, the brain is the receiver, and the personality is the perceiver. This means that our brains are like radios. Thoughts can trickle in from our higher-selves, but the radio can also pick up energy from other sources. Mediums can attune to other frequencies when they tap in to the energy of your passed loved one. Psychics attune to your energetic field and can help offer guidance based on what they sense and feel; similarly for healers as well.
Except, what you’ll learn the more you walk on this path, is that there are many “radio stations” you can attune to. There are higher realms where the angels reside. I’m very attuned to the energy of the earth. There are others who attune to “mythical creatures,” like fairies, dragons, or unicorns. There are also energies that are transmitted from life outside of our galaxy, like Bashar. The only caveat here is that these energies are gathered by setting an intention to connect. By setting the intention to connect, a person is granting permission for the energy to flow into their awareness, and there’s active participation by the person receiving.
When it comes to other people’s energy fields, our own can be so permeable that we can take on their energies; which is why your thoughts aren’t necessarily facts, but they may be information coming from elsewhere. They’re also comprised of your brains ability to analyze based on your own experiences. It’s great at recognizing patters and filling in the blanks when needed. Additionally, imagination is a powerful tool, but when we allow our thoughts to follow up and fill in blanks it can create a false understanding. The brain does offer helpful information that has evolutionary value, but it’s up to you to discern it’s truth and accuracy with your intuition when moving forward into new life experiences. Otherwise, you’re going to continue to create your future based on past experiences.
That’s the goal when learning to walk a spiritual path: to trust yourself. We often think that if people are to base their reality on their own experiences, then that offers up a world of liars and cheats. This is true, but how is that different from what we already experience? If you’re walking this path and attempting to grow and find your own truth, your experiences with Spirit will be critical. It’s important to learn how to build that trust with yourself and Spirit, because that’s the basis of your relationship. Without trust, there’s much doubt. It’s difficult to maintain any relationship without trust, let alone one that encompasses every avenue of your entire life.
This is a process, though. In the beginning of my relationship with Spirit it was full of doubt and missteps, but that’s how you find your groove. You learn to discern Spirit from your own thoughts. Now, I can feel the energy enter my field, and my brain interprets it while my inner voice voices it. I can even wait a few seconds before interpreting the energy, which is an interesting experience. There are other times too when the voice is not my own. Those are fun. My favorite lately has been Merlin. He’s a very bouncy, silly kind of energy. I’ve also spoken to Mavis Pittilla when trying to access the mediumship field, and her English accent comes through.
Although I’ve been improving on discerning other energies, lately, I’ve been surfing too much in my thoughts and imagination over attuning to my intuition; which means I’m creating a lot of my now moments based on past experiences, which in turn recreates those experiences. The definition of insanity, am I right? I’m not interested in reliving the same experiences. I want to create a new reality. I want to create new experiences of joy, abundance, love and passion. It’s easy to recognize a random thought as not our own, but when our brain goes down a spiral and we begin to align with what the thoughts are conveying, we can be misguided.
What’s even more difficult to discern, as I’ve come to realize, is deciphering which thoughts and moments of clairvoyance are my brains own creations and which ones are projections of other people. I’ll be having a conversation with my divine counterpart and suddenly see a picture of me slamming my fist down. At first, I questioned myself about why I’d project that to her, only to then realize that it appeared in my clairvoyance from her energy, not mine. It arose as an energy of expecting me to be angry about something without her having to say it.
It’s been a tricky road to walk especially when I’d put so much stock in my ability to analyze and think through problems. This time in my life, however, I’m being told to step away from analyzing and overthinking in favor of being in the present moment. There’s no need to overthink things, it’s about experiencing and trusting myself to respond appropriately in the moment.
